When planning a big event you want to make sure you are choosing the right people to work with, here are a few FAQ's to help you get to know us. We can answer any question that you may have, feel free to email us any time or give us a call when it's convenient for you.
What is your service area? Chicagoland (both city and suburbs). We are open to traveling out of state upon request.
How often do I meet with my DJ before my event? We setup an initial consultation and following that we are available to meet as many times as you see necessary.
Are there any extras that you offer? Yes! We offer uplighting for the wedding reception, we can help design your wedding day itinerary, we have many wedding industry friends that we can refer you to; from photographers and videographers to photo and slow motion booths. We know quality when we see it and would love to hook you up with these amazing companies.
If you have something specific that you would like for your event let us know and we can tell you if we are able to obtain your request.
Do you offer wedding ceremony audio/sound options? Yes! We have you covered with a microphone for the weddings officiate and all other sound/audio needs that you may want.
Do you work with event/wedding coordinators? Yes! We love to partner with the venues coordinator as it will allow us to cover all the details and make sure your event runs smoothly and will exceed your expectations. Great communication from us allows your other vendors to capture the best moments of the event.
How do we compile the playlist for our event? We walk you through every segment of your wedding reception. We have resources that can help you organize your song selection and we can recommend songs if you would like us to.
When do you arrive to the venue? On average we will be at the venue around two hours before the event for setup and sound check.
Do you MC our event? 100% Yes!! We are the best option when it comes to your MC needs. We create a fun environment for all of your introductions, speeches, transitions and of course getting everyone excited to dance the night away! When it comes to celebrating you and your new spouse, Sound MVMT is the best for being professional, fun and can make sure everyone is involved.
Do you have liability insurance? Yes!
Do you belong to any professional DJ associations? Yes! We are a part of the American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA)
